This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop over the
higher terrain with more scattered coverage along the Divide and in
the southern mountains. Some storms may produce localized heavy rain
with flash flooding possible in flood prone areas, such as fire
scars and slot canyons.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will
develop over the higher terrain through the coming week. Drier air
moves into the region bringing a return of localized critical fire
weather conditions, but winds remain below thresholds on a regional
scale through the week. There is also an increased risk for dry
lightning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report excessive wind or any observed
wind related damage to the National Weather Service in Grand
Junction
